URRIÐAHOLT
Project management and urban design of Urriðaholt, a new hillside community in the town of Garðabær. Urriðaholt is a pioneering development in Iceland, that has received international awards for the emphasis on quality of life issues and sustainability.
A part of this are extensive SUDS, that protects the environmental quality of lake Urridavatn that is perched below the hill.
First neigbourhood to implement suds in Iceland and first international project to achieve a final certification under BREEAM Communities. Awarded International LivCom Award for Built Projects 2007. Urridaholt was selected as Nordic Best Practice for promoting UN Sustainble Consumption Practice.
SNÆFELLSNES REGIONAL PARK

Snæfellsnes regional plan was awarded the Icelandic planning awards 2014.
ÞINGVELLIR NATIONAL PARK UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE
Project management and editing of the nomination dossier for Þingvellir National Park as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
THE WESTMAN ISLAND MUNICIPAL PLAN
A recent municipal plan in the beautiful Westman Islands on the south coast of Iceland.
The plan was made in collaboration with the municipality as well as a special section focusing on tourism. A new feature is an interactive online map of the plan and its stipulations.
GARÐAHVERFI
Development and protection plan for the old rural community and church site at Garðahverfi. Although right in the middle of the greater Reykjavik area, Garðahverfi is like stepping in to the peaceful rural past. See here a short video (in Icelandic) about the heritage and local interpretation in the plan.
The area gained special status a Protected Urban Area, one of the first in Iceland.
